How long have you been at Texas State?
I started as an intern in the fall of 2007 and started in a full-time position in athletics in Spring 2008.
What makes working at Texas State meaningful for you?
The family-like, cohesive environment. I'm friends outside of work with many people on this campus. My husband works on campus. My kids come to many athletic events and have grown up as Bobcats. There is always someone I can call on campus for assistance, and collaboration amongst departments is always happening!
What’s one project or event you love being a part of?
Our athletic ring ceremony each semester — it's a time to celebrate with our student-athletes’ families the accomplishments of our students, not just athletically but also academically. It's a fun atmosphere.
What accomplishment at Texas State has meant the most to you?
I think seeing our athletic department reach new heights. Working here for so long, I have always seen the potential — this place is special. We've been able to grow our athletic programs into national brands and it's so exciting to be a part of. Additionally, I LOVE having our former student-athletes return and seeing their adult accomplishments — that always makes me proud!
What inspires you when you come to work each day?
The people I work with and the fast-paced, ever-changing environment that we work in.
