How long have you been at TXST?

Almost one year.

What makes working with students meaningful for you?

Students are at a very exciting, and sometimes scary, phase in their lives. I love witnessing them figure out who they are and what they want to do with their lives. Playing a small part in that journey is really special and rewarding.

What’s one project or event you love being a part of?

I've had the privilege of playing a role in commencement as the greeter coordinator. It's a really fun and exciting time for students and their families. It’s also a pretty cool way to wrap up a semester and celebrate all the hard work everyone has done.

What accomplishment at TXST has meant the most to you?

I work with the CARE Team in the Dean of Students Office and have had the opportunity to work closely with our pregnant and parenting students at TXST. I take pride in supporting them to navigate the challenges of balancing academics and family responsibilities. As a parent completing a master's degree at TXST myself, this work is really meaningful to me.

What inspires you when you come to work each day?

The students themselves are the biggest inspiration as I get to work directly with them and support them in overcoming barriers to achieve something that is so important to them.
