The Strutters have performed at two U.S. presidential inaugurations. In 1976, the Strutters were selected to represent America’s Bicentennial in a commercial for Coca-Cola. This year, the Strutters were selected once again to high kick their way through Washington, D.C. to celebrate America’s 250th Independence Day. Extreme heat forced the celebration to move to another location, but the Strutters still rose up to the occasion.
In full uniform and just across the water from the Washington Monument, the Strutters perform their routine at the 250th Independence Day Celebration. The Strutters were originally scheduled to perform at the parade. But due to extreme high temperatures, the performances were moved to the Jefferson Memorial.
